Have a few friends over and learn Viking Knit in your own living room! Schedule your Viking Knit party today and get started learning this fun and easy method of jewelry-making.
All that's needed is a little room and a few friends. I'll bring the tools, wire, findings, and everything you need to get started. An optional kit is available at the workshop for those who wish to continue practicing on their own.
No experience with jewelrymaking is needed, and you DON'T have to be "creative" to learn this simple technique.
You supply some refreshments, the space,and the friends, and your starter kit is free as a present from me!
A viking knit party is a fun way to spend a few hours being creative with friends, while you each learn a fun and useful skill. You'll all produce one single-weave viking knit bracelet (and a lot of laughs and fun) during the course of the workshop.
In about 4 - 5 hours, we will cover:
- Selecting and acquiring suitable wire for various purposes
- Selecting a dowel
- Starting and finishing a single-knit weave
- Drawing down a weave
- Cutting a weave
- Adding findings and ends
- An overview of different variations of Viking Knit
Cost: $250 for up to 4 people (including the host), $50/person for each additional guest. Includes all materials and findings to complete at least one single-knit bracelet with clasp.
